    Hello,

I was wondering if you have any advice on agencies for acting and voice acting in Japan? I am located in Ibaraki, and I am having a hard time finding any place to do acting, but I have seen a lot of commercials, ads, etc., that feature foreigners, and I would like to tap into that market. The problem? I have absolutely no idea how to get started. Could you link to me any articles you have written on this, or offer any advice?

Hi Philip! Thanks for the question. Yeah Ibaraki might be tough for commercial work… Tokyo is really where the studios and agencies are. BUT… if you submit to agents and are willing to commute for occasional auditions, you might be able to get the ball rolling! Here’s an article I wrote about submitting to agents… I wrote a whole series of posts on modeling in Japan, and will have an online workshop available soon!

      Hope this helps!
